Ten new species of Braconidae (Hymenoptera) from French Guyana, Suriname and Panama are described and illustrated. Seven species of the genus Pambolus Haliday, 1836, (Pambolinae: P. pappi spec. nov., and P. rufus spec. nov. from French Guyana, P. granulatus spec. nov. from Suriname, P. duplotaeniatus spec. nov., P. hemitaeniatus spec. nov., P. micropennis spec. nov., and P. microstriatus spec. nov. from Panama) and three species of the genus Phaenocarpa Foerster, 1862 (Alysiinae: P. acarinata spec. nov. and P. insolita spec. nov. from French Guyana, and P. areolata spec. nov. from Panama). Keys to the Neotropical species of both genera are given. Some data on the distribution of other Neotropical species of the genera Phaenocarpa, Idiasta Foerster and... |

For the first time a gregarious parasitoid belonging to the genus Phaenocarpa Foerster, 1862 (Braconidae: Alysiinae) is reported, and described as P. helophilae spec. nov. from England. The first record of Chloropidae as host for a Phaenocarpa species is given; P. livida (Haliday, 1838) reared from Calamoncosis (Rhaphiopyga) glyceriae Nartshuk, 1958. Sathra debilis Foerster, 1862, is synonymised with P. livida (Haliday). Additionally, Phaenocarpa curticauda spec. nov. from The Netherlands is described and fully illustrated. A lectotype is designated for Alysia pectoralis Zetterstedt, 1838, and Phaenocarpa rufoflava Papp, 1968, is recognised as a valid species. |

The genus Eusynaldis Zaykov & Fischer, 1982 is synonymized with Aspilota Foerster, 1862 s.s.; Coloboma Foerster, 1862, Prosapha Foerster, 1862 and Synaldis Foerster, 1862 are new synonyms of Dinotrema Foerster, 1862. Synaldis auct. is divided among Aspilota s.s., Eudinostigma Tobias, 1986 and Dinotrema. Aspilota pneumatica Fischer, 1973 is synonymized with Alysia efoveolata Thomson, 1895.
